REVISED proposals have been brought forward for flats and commercial units at a Tollcross gap site.
Cater Group Ltd have applied to develop a four-storey building at 1042 Tollcross Road. Six flats above two retail units are proposed.
There would be a terrace for residents at first floor level at the rear of the building.
A design document included with the application states: “This will bring use back to a derelict area of land which currently provides no economic aesthetic benefit to the local town centre.”
City officials refused permission for a similar development earlier this year, although that application included a hot food takeaway outlet.
The new proposal is now pending assessment by planners.
