REVISED proposals for flats and commercial units at a Tollcross gap site have been approved.
City planners have given Cater Group Ltd permission to develop a four-storey building at 1042 Tollcross Road.
It will contain six flats above two retail units.
There will be a terrace for residents at first floor level at the rear of the building.
A design document included with the application stated: “This will bring use back to a derelict area of land which currently provides no economic aesthetic benefit to the local town centre.”
Officials refused permission for a similar development last year, although that application included a hot food takeaway outlet.
