RESIDENTIAL Plan For South Side Hotel Gets Go-Ahead

17 April, 2024 | News

PROPOSALS to turn a Shawlands hotel and restaurant site into flats have won backing from Glasgow’s planning committee.

Under the plan, The Ivory, at the corner of Camphill Avenue at Langside Avenue, will be converted, part demolished and extended to form 16 apartments.

The existing hotel and restaurant would become six flats and a new block of 10 units would be built in the grounds and car park.

The application by Ola Properties Ltd was approved by councillors subject to legal agreement and meeting of conditions.

Permission was previously given for the principle of residential development at the site.
