HOUSES and flats are proposed for a large vacant site in Dalmarnock.
Thenue Housing Association has applied for planning permission for 41 units for social rent at land between Connal Street amd Springfield Road.
There would be 19 flats and 22 terraced homes, a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties.
A design statement included with the application explains: “The development proposes to reinvigorate a neglected brown field site…and positively impact on the wider area of the Dalmarnock regeneration.
“The design looks to reference the existing surroundings including the newly built Athletes’ Village, and with a view to the future Phase 2 of this development, opposite the site, in the form, massing and materiality of these proposals.”
The application is pending assessment by city planners.
A Lidl store is proposed for an adjacent plot on Springfield Road.
