CONSTRUCTION Starts On AC By Marriott Hotel In Glasgow

WORK has started on a new AC by Marriott hotel in Glasgow City Centre.

Ogilvie Construction is building the 245-bed property at George STreet/John Street for developer Chris Stewart Group.

It is part of a £100 million mixed-use development which will transform most of a city block near the north east corner of George Square.

Donald MacDonald, managing director, Ogilvie Construction, said: “We are delighted to be working with Chris Stewart Group to deliver their vision for a new high quality hotel in the centre of Glasgow.

The new hotel is the first stage in the realisation of Chris Stewart Group’s vision to deliver an experience and lifestyle-led destination in the heart of the city,

The development also includes conversion of a historic building into apartments plus a high-rise student accommodation building.
