VERDICT Over City Centre Student Housing Delayed

16 November, 2021 | Student Accommodation

COUNCILLORS have put off coming to a decision over a massive student accommodation block proposed for central Glasgow.

The city’s planning applications committee has opted to hold a hearing into the proposal for Bath Street.

Procedures for planning hearings give those who support or oppose the application the opportunity to state their case to the committee.

Student accommodation provider iQSA want to demolish a 1970s office at 225 Bath Street and build a 551-bedroom complex over seven, nine and eleven floors.

Planning officials are recommending approval be given.
