PLANNERS are being asked to allow an empty jewellers shop on Glasgow’s South Side to be converted into a cafe.

A change-of-use application has been lodged for premises at 1054 Pollokshaws Road, Shawlands.

Plans submitted to Glasgow City Council show cafe seating would be over two floors.

The ground floor would have a servery and seating for 14 people.

Upstairs there would be a further 30 seats and the kitchen.

Proposed opening hours are 8am to 10pm, seven days a week.

The application is pending assessment by officials
