GLASGOW planners have given the go-ahead for a 24-hour truck stop facility capable of handling dozens of lorries.
They agreed that Route 74 can be developed at 2310 London Road on the east side of the city.
There will be space for around 85 trucks.
It is anticipated there will be about 60 to 80 heavy goods vehicles using the facility daily, Monday to Thursday, and 25 to 35 daily, Friday to Sunday.
A restaurant and fuel station plus shower and toilet facilities are included in the proposal.
