ELECTRIC car company Tesla is planning to open a showroom in central Glasgow.
The firm is lining up a large site at Kennedy Street, Townhead for sales and service of electric vehicles.
Tesla has applied to Glasgow City Council for permission to put up signage at the building which was formerly an Evans Halshaw car showroom.
A temporary Tesla-branded building is already in position at the premises.
A Glasgow base is listed as ‘coming soon’ on the Tesla website.
The company’s only Scottish site at present is at Newbridge, Edinburgh.
