TAKEAWAY Proposed For Historic Bank Premises In Springburn

1 December, 2020 | Food and Drink, Listed / Historic Buildings

PLANNERS are being asked to agree that part of a B-listed bank building in Springburn can be used as a hot-food takeaway.

A change-of-use application has been made by Sava Estates for ground floor and basement of the TSB premises at 247 Springburn Way.

The bank branch is closing in June 2021.

No significant changes are proposed to the exterior of the building, which was constructed in the late 1800s.

No details of the kind of outlet it would be are given in planning documents.

The proposal is pending consideration by Glasgow City Council.

Another application by Sava Estates, seeking permission to turn a B-listed former bank in Govan into a restaurant, was recently approved.
