WORK to make the streetscape on Byres Road more people-friendly and appealing is due to start in the spring.
The latest update regarding the project states that the redevelopment proposals, incorporating segregated cycle infrastructure, progressed to the issue of Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) consultation documentation in 2019, attracting a significant number of objections.
The Glasgow City Council report adds: “Officers continue to progress design and associated TROs with works currently scheduled to start in spring 2022.
“City Deal funding for works at Byres Road will be used to secure Sustrans funding for proposed improvement works at Queen Margaret Drive.”
