SNOOKER/Pool Hall Idea For Empty Southside Premises Miscues With Planners

27 April, 2021 | Arts, Leisure, Entertainment and Sport

GLASGOW City officials have rejected a proposal to convert a vacant garage workshop into a snooker/pool hall.

A change-of-use plan was submitted for premises at 23 Forth Street in Pollokshields.

Planners refused the proposal saying there was insufficient parking, to the detriment of both residential amenity and traffic safety.

Drawings submitted to Glasgow City Council showed there would have been six snooker tables and four pool tables.

One parking space per table would have been required to meet planning requirements but no extra spaces were being provided.
