SIXTEEN-Floor Block With Hundreds Of Apartments Progressing At Glasgow Harbour

WORK is getting underway on a major residential building at Glasgow Harbour.

Dandara Group was given planning permission for the 12 to 16-storey build-to-rent block beside the Clyde at Partick in December 2015.

The site — opposite Sawmill Road at Castlebank Street, at the west end of the current Glasgow Harbour flats development — is now being prepared for construction to start.

A building warrant for initial work has been granted by the city council within the last week.

The L-shaped building will have 342 flats — 78 studios, 134 with one bedroom and 130 with two bedrooms.

Ground floor commercial, retail, and food-and-drink units plus a gym are also part of the development.

There will be 330 parking spaces in two basement levels.
