SHOPS Proposed For Historic Bank Premises In Springburn

27 May, 2022 | Retail, Listed / Historic Buildings

PLANNING permission is being sought to convert B-listed former bank premises in Springburn into two shops.

An application has been made for the ground floor and basement at 247 Springburn Way. The building was constructed in the late 1800s.

No details of the kind of outlets they would be are given in planning documents.

The main change to the exterior of the building will be formation of a new doorway. The TSB bank branch there closed in June 2021.

The proposal is pending consideration by Glasgow City Council.

A previous application for a hot-food takeaway was refused.
