SERVICED Apartment Plan For Empty Townhouse Office Premises

24 February, 2020 | News

PLANS have been submitted to turn a B-listed Glasgow City Centre townhouse building next to music venue King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut into serviced apartments.

A change-of-use application has been lodged for empty offices at 266 St Vincent Street by Lets Direct Ltd.

The proposal is for the property to be converted into 14 “bespoke quality service apartments, enjoying good space standards, with quality fixtures and fittings”.

A design statement explains: “The proposed development has been designed to respect the original layout of rooms and to ensure that there is no impact on the external elevations.”

The document adds that an acoustic report addresses “all the issues and concerns” in relation to music coming from King Tut’s.

The application is pending assessment by city officials.
