RESIDENTIAL Development Proposed For Site Of Disused Castlemilk Care Home

15 August, 2018 | News, Residential

PLANS to demolish a former care home in Castlemilk and build a 25-unit residential development has been submitted to Glasgow City Council.

The proposal by Northview Housing Association involves Windlaw House, Ardencraig Road, across from Cathkin Braes Country Park.

The application is for 23 flats — nine with one bedroom and 14 with two bedrooms — and two bungalows.

The flats would be in a two, three and four-storey L-shaped building, fronting Ardencraig Raod and Viewglen Court.  The bungalows would be at the rear of the site.

Fifteen parking spaces are proposed.

The application is pending assessment by Glasgow City Council planning officials.
