PROPOSAL For Hotel Car Park Flats Overlooking Bingham’s Pond Is Withdrawn

23 April, 2021 | News

A PLAN to build apartments in a section of a hotel parking area in west Glasgow has been shelved.

Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotel applied in September for planning permission in principle in relation to their premises at Great Western Road, beside Gartnavel Hospital.

Forty-nine flats -— a mixture of one, two and three bedrooms —- were proposed over six floors in a building overlooking Bingham’s Pond. Basement car parking was also proposed.

Glasgow’s planning portal now lists the application as withdrawn.

No explanation is given for the change or whether a revised proposal will be submitted.

More than 50 objections had been received from members of the public and the local community council.
