PLANS Submitted For Major Housing Development In Thornliebank

A DEVELOPMENT of 166 houses and flats is being proposed for a former factory site in Thornliebank.

Bellway Homes has submitted a planning application for the Toffolo Jackson land in Burnfield Road.

The development would be made up of 118 three and four-bedroom houses, in detached semi-detached and terraced format, plus 48 two-bedroom flats. The flats would be four-storey blocks fronting Thornliebank Road.

The site extends to the Glasgow to East Kilbride railway line and Auldhouse Burn.

The application is pending consideration by Glasgow City Council planners.
