PLANNERS Give Go-Ahead To Kelvinhaugh Mews Development

23 November, 2020 | Residential

MEWS houses have been approved for a concealed site in Kelvinhaugh.

Glasgow planners have agreed that Mitre Properties can develop overgrown vacant land at Overnewton Place, off Kelvinhaugh Street, beside Glasgow University’s Cairncross House student accommodation.

The proposal is for four two-bedroom properties. Bedrooms will be on the ground floor with full width living/kitchen space on the upper level along with external terraces.

There will be shared open space and three parking spaces.

The site was sold to Mitre in 2006 when it was put on the market by Glasgow City Council. It was formerly occupied by a two-storey office/workshop building.

Plans were previously approved for a business unit in 2008.
