PRIMARK have been given planning permission to open a store at Glasgow’s Fort shopping centre.
City planners have approved a change-of-use application for the vacant Everlast health club/gym premises, allowing it to be used as a shop.
The company say the store is set to open by early 2025. It will have around 33,000 sq ft of retail space across two floors.
Primark has three other stores in Glasgow, on Argyle Street and Sauchiehall Street and at Parkhead Forge.
Primark UK Retail Director Kari Rodgers commented: “We’re thrilled to be announcing our latest new store in Glasgow Fort, as we continue to grow our UK business.”
Phil Goodman, centre director at Glasgow Fort, said: “Primark will be a brilliant addition to the centre, offering our visitors a fantastic range of everyday essentials and trending items for all the family.”
