PLANNERS Asked To Renew Permission For Housing On Fields At Easterhouse

9 December, 2020 | Residential

A DEVELOPER is seeking to revive a plan for residential development on farmland at Glasgow’s eastern edge.

Planning permission in principle for housing on fields between Dungeonhill Road and Netherhouse Road, Easterhouse was given in 2017.

The consent has now expired and Capper Farming Enterprises has asked for it to be renewed.

The developer has said up to 49 properties would be built and around a quarter of the site would be kept as green space.

A further application seeking detailed approval would also be required.

The site would integrate with plans which are being taken forward for new ‘villages’ with around 1,500 houses on neighbouring farmland.
