PLANNERS Asked To Allow Residential Use Of Former School Grounds

8 May, 2021 | Residential

A DEVELOPMENT of flats is being proposed for a site in west Glasgow.

Fairbright Homes Ltd has applied for planning permission in principle residential development at Fulton Street, Anniesland.

The site is outdoor space associated with the former Temple Primary School next door which is now Little Me Nursery. The site has been fenced off since 2007.

An indicative layout shows 24 two-bedroom flats in two blocks, each of four floors.

If permission is given, detailed designs would have to be submitted for approval.

A statement submitted with the application argues: “The scale and massing of a four-storey development would accord with the existing buildings in the surrounding area which are predominantly four-storey tenements.”

The proposal is pending consideration by city planners.
