AN adventure bar feature axe-hurling and crazy golf is being proposed for empty units at the St Enoch Centre.

Boom Battle Bar want to combine four vacant shops on the first floor of the complex.

The venue would feature a range of leisure and entertainment including electric darts, pool, axe-throwing, shuffleboard and crazy golf.

Openining hours would be 10am to midnight, Sunday to Thursday, and 10am to 2am on Friday and Saturday.

St Enoch would be their first Scottish venue; Boom Battle Bar currently have premises in Norwich and Cardiff and are also opening in Liverpool.

Documents submitted to Glasgow planners state that three of the units have been marketed for several years without lettings being secured.

Of the 41 units currently on the first floor, 15 are vacant.

The proposal is pending assessment by council officials.

Last year, permission was given for a mini-golf attraction to open in the Hamleys store at the St Enoch Centre.

Development of a cinema and nine restaurant units on the first floor of the centre is due for completion next month.
