PIZZA Restaurant On The Menu After Planners Agree To Change Of Use

30 July, 2019 | News, Food and Drink

PERMISSION has been given for an empty Glasgow City Centre shop to be turned into a restaurant.

Project Pizza will turn the premises in Trongate — between the McDonald’s and Tesco outlets — into a two-floor eatery.

The ground floor will have seating for 50 and there will be space for a further 136 people upstairs.

Opening hours will be 8am to midnight, seven days a week.

A statement by consultants Iceni, submitted to planners on behalf of Project Pizza’s, had argued: “The proposal will have a positive impact on the vitality and viability of this part of Trongate and the wider City Centre, and will see the reuse of a vacant unit.”
