PLANNERS are being asked to agree that new flats in Finnieston can be used as serviced apartments.

Sonder Hospitality is already offering the accmmodation at 3 to 7 Minerva Way.

Forty-one apartments are involved out of the 108 units built so far in the development on Minerva Street/Minerva Way.

A management statement included with the application explains: “[Sonder’s] aim is to redefine hospitality through technology, with a focus on improving efficiencies by providing traditional hospitality functions via a 24/7 guest app.

“The app allows guests to check-in, request cleaning and get other amenities, all from their mobile.”

The company operates in more than 30 cities across nine countries.

The application is pending assessment by Glasgow City Council.
