
PERMISSION has been given for an empty pub in Scotstoun to be used as a religious education establishment and community hall.
Glasgow City planners approved a change-of-use application by Islamic Centre Scotstoun for the old Rendezvous premises in Burnham Road, near Dumbarton Road.
In a letter to the council the organisation stated: “We are a small charity and are keen to provide a facility to Muslim residents who have arrived and are settling in the area.”
