SIX By Nico Holdings Ltd have applied to open a restaurant at the former Peckham’s deli in Glasgow’s West End.

Documents submitted to the planning department state the premises at 139 Hyndland Road would become a “casual, neighbourhood dining restaurant serving modern tapas with a gourmet twist”.

There would be seating for around 50 people plus an outside dining area. The eatery would be open from 11am each day, until 11pm Sunday to Thursday and midnight on Friday and Saturday.

The application design statement explains: “The internal design will be keeping and highlighting the columns and cornice within the building and retaining its overall proportion.

“This new restaurant will only add to the buzz and social scene for the neighbourhood and be a foodie focal point for Hyndland Road.”

The application is pending assessment by officials.

Peckham’s ceased trading in August 2018.
