NEW Occupier Sought For Empty City Centre Department Store

A LARGE department store building has become vacant in central Glasgow following the departure of TJ Hughes from their Trongate premises.

The firm has moved to the St Enoch Centre, taking 36,000 sq ft in space formerly occupied by BHS.

The empty store on Trongate has been advertised for lease. It has 141,000 sq ft over five floors, including basement.

The building sits between two major development sites — Candleriggs Square, where work is underway, and the car park at Osborne Street which subject of a planning application for a mixed use scheme.
