NEW Designs For Finnieston Corner Include A Roof Garden And Fewer Flats

17 May, 2022 | Major Developments

AMENDED proposals have been drawn up for apartments and retail space at a high-profile site in Finnieston.

Ambassador Living hope to transform the corner of Finnieston Street and Minerva Street.

The initial planning application submitted in May 2021 sought permission for 155 flats.

New documents now show that, if approved by planners, the development would have 132 apartments.

There would be six commercial units on the ground floor.

The building would be on the car park that currently serves two large retail units — Lidl and the former PC World premises, which is vacant.

The empty unit would be knocked down and a car park for Lidl created on that land.

The Lidl building would be refurbished and provided with new frontage, towards Finnieston Street.

The development would be made up of one, two and three-bedroom apartments. Public realm improvements are also included.
