PLANS have been revealed for a new 14-storey, four-star hotel in Glasgow City Centre.
The 252-bed development on St Vincent Street at Pitt Street is being lined up as the first UK hotel for Austrian operator Vienna House.
A vacant office block will be demolished to make way for the building which will have roof terraces at various levels.
A design document submitted to the city council states: “This represents a very positive new addition to Glasgow City Centre’s tourist economy.”
The planning application by developer Artisan Real Estate is pending assessment by city planners.
