PRE-application consultation has started over plans for a flats complex between two A-listed buildings in central Glasgow.

The part seven-storey, part four-storey block is proposed for the car park area at the former headquarters of social enterprise organisation the Wise Group in Charlotte Street.

An unlisted building would also be demolished as part of the plan by Surplus Property Solutions Ltd.

The site is between a classical villa and the 1960s extension of former Our Lady and St Francis Secondary School, which was designed by architect Jack Coia,.

A website giving details and seeking feedback states there would be 74 flats, a mix of one, two and three-bedroom properties, plus a roof terrace and private green space at ground level. Underground parking for 37 vehicles would be provided.
