THE occupier for a £2million office development under construction in Glasgow’s East End has been confirmed.

The premises in Landressy Street,  on the corner with London Road in Bridgeton, will become the headquarters for the Scottish Trades Union Congress (STUC).

The office pavilion, which will be opposite Glasgow Women’s Library, is being built as part of regeneration programme Clyde Gateway.

It will have administration and meeting space for 50 to 60 people over 6,450 sq ft, with off-street parking.

The STUC’s current base is in the former Woodside School in Woodlands Road which is due to be converted into student accommodation.

The organisation will move temporarily to Clyde Gateway’s Red Tree Rutherglen Business Centre in February and expects to occupy the Landressy Street development in September.
