FORTY-eight housing association flats are proposed for a site in north Glasgow.

Three blocks would be built at the corner of Ashgill Road at Colston Road, Milton, under the plan by Glasgow Housing Association.

Forty of the flats would have two bedrooms and eight would have one bedroom. They are for mid-market rent.

The site is currently occupied by a housing association local office and a city property depot, both of which are soon to be redundant.

It also includes an area that formerly housed a centre for the unemployed.

A design statement submitted with the application explains: “The concept is for three similar-scale blocks positioned and orientated to create positive outdoor spaces between, further defined by the brick walls continuing out from the buildings.”

The proposal is pending consideration by Glasgow City Council planners.
