PLANS to turn an empty shop unit into a meditation centre, cafe and bookshop have been submitted to Glasgow City Council.
The proposal involves premises at 2 Blackfriars Road at High Street, part of a student accommodation block.
The meditation space would extend further into the building and would have seating for around 100 people.
The change-of-use is pending consideration by officials.
The council last year refused permission for a pizza vending machine that had been installed without approval at the unit.
