PLANS to turn an empty shop unit into a meditation centre, cafe and bookshop have been approved by Glasgow City Council.
The proposal involves premises at 2 Blackfriars Road at High Street, part of a student accommodation block.
The meditation space will extend further into the building and will have seating for around 100 people.
The change-of-use application was granted by planners.
In 2021 the council refused permission for a pizza vending machine that had been installed without approval at the unit.
