PERMISSION has been given for a large housing development in the Royston area of Glasgow.
City planners have agreed that Caldwell Developments can build 100 houses on vacant land bounded by Darnick Street, Royston Road and the adjacent railway.
There will be six two-bedroom properties, 86 three-bedroom homes and eight with four bedrooms.
A document submitted as part of the planning application states: “The design aims to create an active, safe, accessible, inclusive urban neighbourhood with well-considered features all in close proximity to Glasgow city centre.”
