6 September, 2021 | Active Travel, In Pictures, Glasgow's Canal

CONSTRUCTION continues on the landmark £12million active travel bridge at Stockingfield Junction on the Forth and Clyde Canal in north west Glasgow.

The bridge will link the communities of Maryhill, Gilshochill and Ruchill for the first time since the waterway opened in 1790.

It will also provide the last link in the canal towpath providing a continuous active travel route from Bowling in the west to Leith in the east.
