IN Pictures — Demolition Of Old Police HQ Well Underway

2 April, 2019 | News, Residential, In Pictures

THE former Strathclyde Police headquarters in Glasgow is rapidly disappearing, to make way for a massive private rented housing development by Moda.

The 433-unit build-to-rent neighbourhood Holland Park will be on the block bounded by Holland Street, West Regent Street, Pitt Street and West George Street.

It will have a mix of studios and one, two, and three-bed apartments creating a new community of around 900 people.

Its four buildings, ranging from six to 17 storeys, will be set around a new public courtyard.

There will be 45,000 sq. ft. of amenity space for residents including lounges, hotel-style lobby, co-working space, health and wellbeing zones, landscaped roof gardens and indoor/outdoor barbecue areas.

The first homes are due to be available in 2022.
