RESIDENTIAL proposals for a former school on Glasgow’s South Side have been submitted to the city council.
Former villas at the Craigholme campus on Hamilton Avenue at St Andrews Drive, Pollokshields would be converted back into houses, and duplexes, under the plan.
The application states: “The site is a former school comprising a series of original 19th century stone-build residential villas, linked together by significant modern (1950s to 1980s) educational extensions.
“It is proposed to retain and restore the original domestic architecture and demolish the majority of the later additions to return the building group to domestic use.
“It is proposed to create a number of substantial villas and duplex apartments witha ssociated amenity space and car parking.”
There would be 11 units in total. The school closed in 2019.
The application is pending assessment by City planners.
