A LARGE residential development has been approved for a site beside the M77 at Darnley Mains.
The application for 140 houses and flats by Persimmon Homes for land at Waukglen Road/ Leggatston Road has been given the go-ahead by Glasgow City Council officials.
The site was previously zoned for commercial development.
Housing is also proposed for a neighbouring vacant site.
