HOTEL Set To Press Ahead With Plan For Extra Bedrooms

3 July, 2019 | News, Hotels

A GLASGOW City Centre hotel looks set to create 33 more bedrooms by expanding into a neighbouring B-listed building.

The Alexander Thomson Hotel already has planning permission to change the use of empty office premises in Argyle Street at the corner with West Campbell Street.

It is awaiting listed building consent but Historic Environment Scotland have not objected to the proposal and the City Council last week granted a building warrant for the work.

New internal openings will be made between the existing 85-bedroom hotel and the upper floors of the adjacent property, with 11 bedrooms on each floor.
