A PRODUCTION company has leased office accommodation and land on Glasgow’s Waterfront ahead of filming for a movie.

American Night Productions, part of Warner Media, are using Central Quay as a base for HBO Max film Batgirl.

As well as taking office space, the production crew is using a large area of adjacent vacant ground as a vehicle and trailer compound.

Filming is taking place at various City Centre locations in the coming weeks, with Glasgow acting as Gotham City again, following scenes being shot for the new Batman movie in February 2020.

It’s the first time an entire major feature film has been made in Glasgow.

Batgirl is set to star Leslie Grace, JK Simmons, Michael Keaton and Brendan Fraser.
