1 June, 2018 | News

A PLAN to redevelop the former Prince And Princess Of Wales Hospice building as holiday letting accommodation has been lodged with Glasgow City Council.

Strathedin Property Ltd want to convert the listed Carlton Place premises and also demolish some of the structure to the rear, replacing it with a new four storey building.

Above, how the development would look, and, below, how it is now

The parts that would be knocked down are more recent additions. The new extension would front South Portland Street.

The application states there would be a “sensitive refurbishment” of the listed building with minimal internal structural disruption.7

The proposal is pending assessment by city planners.
