GREEN Signal For More Properties On Kelvindale Railway Triangle

29 April, 2022 | News

PLANNERS have approved a second phase of flats and houses on a triangle of railway land at Kelvindale.

Consent for residential use of the vacant land beside Dalsholm Road was previously granted in 2014.

Permission had already been given for a first phase of development — 49 townhouses and flats — on the western portion of the site.

Now Kelvindale Holdings Ltd have been given permission for a further 43 properties — 31 apartments and 12 terraced houses — for private sale on the eastern side.

The full site is bounded by the West Highland rail line to the north, and the Maryhill to Anniesland rail line, in a cutting, which runs along the southern edge of the full site.

A traffic light junction will be formed off Dalshom Road, opposite Temple Road to service the whole development.

A pedestrian footway is to be attached to the existing road bridge over the Anniesland railway line on Dalsholm Road as it currently has no footways.

The application was approved by Glasgow City planners.
