GO-Ahead Given For Major Flats Development Beside River Clyde In East End

20 January, 2021 | Residential

PERMISSION has been given for a large apartment complex on a site in Glasgow’s East End.

City council planners have agreed that Swan Group can build 151 flats beside Newhall Street, on a triangle of brownfield land next to the Clyde, across from Police Scotland’s Dalmarnock building.

A mix of one and two-bedroom apartments are proposed in five blocks, ranging from four to six floors. Three of the blocks will face the river.

Amenity space for residents includes a large central landscaped area. There will be 128 car parking spaces.
