GO-Ahead For Shops To Be Added To Pub Building

7 March, 2022 | Retail

A GLASGOW pub has been given permission for shops and a function suite to be added to its premises.

An application by Gordons Bar in Royston Road to build a new first floor as well as three retail units to the side of the property has been given the go-ahead.

The land is currently used as a beer garden.

The proposal was approved by city planners.

Their report stated: “The proposed development at this location would enable the provision of additional local community shopping facilities as well as providing an active frontage on Royston Road, thus improving the viability, vitality and safety of this area in the evening as well as the daytime.”
