A SUPPLIER of Asian catering products and foods has applied to build a supermarket and warehouse on a site near Glasgow’s canal at Garscube.

The development by Matthew’s Foods, would be at Baird Brae, off Possil Road, and would involve demolition of a derelict office pavilion.

The company is hoping to relocate and expand its business which includes wholesale trade to restaurants/takeaways and retail to the public.

Its existing premises at Garscube Industrial Estate have become too small to accommodate the growing operation.

The proposal is pending assessment by city planners.
