GLASGOW City Centre Hair And Beauty Salon Approved

6 August, 2018 | News

A PLAN to turn empty Glasgow City Centre premises into a hair and beauty salon has been given the go-ahead.

The proposal for the ground floor at 196 Bath Street was approved by council officials.

Documents submitted with a change-of-use application state that 12 jobs will be created for the salon (seven full-time and five part-time.)

Planners considered the new use to be appropriate. They believed it would “not harm the amenity of the City Centre Principal Office Area” and added: “The return of the unit to active use is also to be encouraged.”

The new owners of the building also state they plan to bring the vacant first and second floor offices back into active use.
