FLATS Plan For Former School Site In Calton

5 September, 2018 | News, Residential

PLANNERS are being asked to approve a development of 32 flats being proposed for a site in Calton.

The Wheatley Group want to build the properties for mid-market rent on land bounded by Great Dovehill, Little Dovehill and Bell Street.

The site is currently laid out as a car park. Dovehill School and tenement properties were there until demolition in 1989.

The part six-storey, part four-storey building would contain 29 two-bedroom flats along with three one-bedroom flats designed for wheelchair users.

Each flat would have one cycle space and there would be 10 car spaces (three for disabled use).

Most of the 62 trees at the site would be felled.

The application is pending assessment by Glasgow City officials.
