FLATS And Bungalows Approved For Site Of Disused Castlemilk Care Home

25 March, 2019 | News, Residential

PLANS to demolish a former care home in Castlemilk and build a 25-unit residential development have been approved by Glasgow City Council.

The proposal by Northview Housing Association involves Windlaw House, Ardencraig Road, across from Cathkin Braes Country Park.

The application is for 19 flats — five with one bedroom and 14 with two bedrooms — plus two bungalows and four two-bedroom cottage flats.

The flats will be in a two, three and four-storey L-shaped building, fronting Ardencraig Road and Viewglen Court. The bungalows will be at the rear of the site.

Fifteen parking spaces are proposed plus cycle storage.

The application was given the go-ahead by planning officials.
